Itinerary

Day 1
Arriving in Alice Springs, make your way to your hotel. The rest of your day is at your leisure.

Day 2
Travelling south, we stop to visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense). Later, stop at a lookout to view Atila (Mt Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. In the afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta and marvel at an ‘outback’ sunset followed by a glass of sparkling wine. Enjoy an exclusive barbecue dinner with stargazing in the red centre (weather permitting). (D)

Day 3
This morning, join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour, or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk. Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This evening, enjoy sunset and the changing colours of Uluru during the Sounds of Silence Dinner. (D)

Day 4
The morning is at your leisure to relax or join an optional tour. In the afternoon, travel to Kings Canyon. There may be time to view the sun set behind Carmichaels Crag. In the evening you might like to view the stars in the outback sky.

Day 5
This morning climb to the rim of the canyon, where you will be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park and continue on a 3 hour walk guided around the canyon. Alternatively, take the easier 1½ hour stroll around to explore the beauty of the canyon floor. Return to Kings Canyon Resort for lunch (own expense) and time at leisure. Travel on to Alice Springs for an overnight stay.

Day 6
Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast. (B)
