Itinerary

Day 1
On arrival in Perth you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is free to familiarise yourself with the city.

Day 2
Travel southwards along the Stirling Range and Porongurup Range before reaching historic Albany. (B,L,D)

Day 3
After seeing the natural wonders of The Gap and Natural Bridge, travel via Denmark through spectacular karri tree forests to the coastal resort town of Walpole. There you can enjoy a lunchtime cruise on Nornalup Inlet. Next stop is the Valley of the Giants, prior to heading to Pemberton for the night. (B,L,D)

Day 4
Begin today at the Gloucester Tree, before heading to Beedalup Falls and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. As we enter the Margaret River Region, pass by Boranup Forest and join a tour of the Mammoth Cave. (B,L,D)

Day 5
Enjoy a full day tour of the Margaret River region including Xanadu Winery; visit the Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre and Bussleton Jetty. (B,L,D)

Day 6
Time today for a more in-depth tour of the local wineries, before returning to Perth in the early evening. (B,L)

Day 7
Enjoy a half day city tour of Perth and historic Fremantle before relaxing with a wine tasting aboard the Swan River Cruise back to Perth. This evening, enjoy dinner with a difference aboard the Spirit of the West. (B,D)

Day 8
Wonder at the world-renowned Pinnacles Desert and enjoy the thrill of driving over huge sand dunes on this full day 4WD Tour. (B,L)

Day 9
Bid Perth farewell as you board the Prospector, the new state of the art high speed train, bound for Kalgoorlie. (B)

Day 10
Join a day tour of Australia’s largest mining town, before visiting the Super pit (one of the world’s largest open pit gold mining operations). Spend the afternoon at Hannans North Tourist Mine and the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame. (B,L,D)

Day 11
Your morning is free for you to continue your exploration of Kalgoorlie. This afternoon join a red light district tour before heading back to the station where you will board the Indian Pacific. (B,D)

Day 12-13
Enjoy travelling across the Nullarbor Plain as you spend three nights onboard the Indian Pacific Gold Kangaroo Class. There is a chance to stretch your legs in the old town of Cook in the Nullarbor Plains, and in Adelaide and Broken Hill. (B,L,D)

Day 14
Your tour ends on arrival back in Sydney. (B)
