Combining the romance of rail with the serenity of sea cruising, your transport becomes your eye on the world as it winds its way through fields of sugarcane or picks a path through the Great Barrier Reef’s many islands.
Itinerary
Day 1
Departing from Brisbane, relax in the Lounge Car as your journey begins. Queenslander Class is more than just a train, it’s a journey into Queensland’s heritage, culture, landscape and cuisine. (D)
Day 2
Enjoy the ever-changing scenery as you meander along the coastline of Queensland before arriving in Cairns. (B,L)
Day 3
After breakfast, board your cruise to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Visit Thetford Reef and Sudbury Cay with activities including fish feeding, snorkelling, coral viewing and scuba diving. (B,L,D)
Day 4
Visit Coates or Nathan Reefs to further experience the Great Barrier Reef, prior to departing for Dunk Island where you can enjoy a guided rainforest walk, or relax on the white sandy beach. (B,L,D)
Day 5
Cruise the Family Group of Islands at Hinchinbrook Channel. Relax with a beach barbeque for lunch, then pull the anchor to cruise the Palm Group of Islands. (B,L,D)
Day 6
Enjoy breakfast as you cruise through Halifax Bay, passing spectacular Magnetic Island before arriving in sunny Townsville. Take a day at leisure in Townsville before boarding Queenslander Class on The Sunlander for your return journey to Brisbane. (B,D)

Share stories with your new found friends before arriving in Brisbane. (B,L)
